Though the weather is dull and the skies are grey, the garden lets me know it’s spring. The blooming pear trees and the cherry tree that’s starting to join them, the flowers with their joyful colours and the birds visiting the bird feeder and the stack of wood full of little critters.
What makes me even more happy, is that they’ve finally started repairing the foundation of our annex. As soon as that’s finished, we can start with our other projects: a new floor in the annex and partly retiling the garden. It will take a while before everything is finished, as we’re saving up step by step, but the most urgent part is getting done right this moment!

Getting the foundation in pristine condition! And you can see the new back door on the left.

You left us a picture when nobody was watching… Yep today was a bad weather day. But we had some sunshine this week. Those white blosoms, is that a pear? You must live below the rivers to have good soil for that. Not jealous or anything. Nope. Is that a rabbit house? Oh and, in your last sentence, you mention the ‘urgent part’. Foundation, or? If I ask too much, you can just neglect me, this is the internet, anyway. Enjoy spring!
The white blossoms in the left are pear trees, they bloom abundantely and we get a few pears, even above the rivers. 😉 The little house you see is part of the chicken coop. We have two sweet chickens, Fatima and Lourdes, who faithfully give us at least one egg a day.
The urgent part of the renovations was the foundation. There is still a lot to be done, but nothing as urgent or risky (as in: possibility the costs suddenly quadruple because they find something wrong) as this.
I’m happy to answer your questions!
Ah! Good. I am only seeing your reply today…forgot to cross the ‘notify’- thing, but that’s ok because I pass by anyway sometime… on a saturday when nobody’s home… To notice your 100 days of happiness spree! Sure, could have noticed it in the title of this very mail but I didn’t… just didn’t see it… but next time in my spare moment I will have some place to head for! No questions in this instant, just, have a nice sunday tomorrow!
Lovely! I adore photos! Isn’t spring wonderful?
